Back in the US of A

After our Arkansas run I spent a few days just hanging out at my parents with the boys. Didn't take long for us to miss Daddy like crazy, especially when we do the stuff he loves the most! These posts are hard for me to write and hard for sweet Daddy to read. Wish he was here to feel the comforts of home. Just a few more weeks!

Super slide in Honey and Papa's backyard

Hanging with our Dallas boys...Stacy and Wyatt!
This place was awesome! We'll be back before returning to Doha.

Caryn and all the boys. I have shared "life" with this sweet friend is some very precious and special ways. It was such a treat to hang with her and her boys who are exactly like the boys in my world!
We are going to make ourselves sick on Chick-Fil-A before heading back to Doha.

Fun times on Papa's boat

Is there anything better for boys than watching construction on a bridge from a boat!

Fishing with Papa

Bear thought it was a good idea until the fish came out of the water.

I don't have the words. I have tears in my eyes though. I'm so blessed to have a father-in-law (who taught me how to bass fish) teach my sons how to fish and be there for their first one. Im uber-emotional these days, but who would have ever thought that blog would make me cry. Amazing. I love you Wen.

OK, Nick's comments are making ME cry!!! Such a sweet husband. I can't imagine how hard this is for you guys. I know he HATES missing out not only on this time with you guys but on all the adventures you're having here.

Your pictures are so good, they make me want a good camera that I magically know how to use.

I was telling my sisters that I feel like I know your boys so well that I just expect them to link arms with mine and skip around (very masculine like) like BFFS when they see each other for the first time in years. :)

I wanna come slide!

Oh the sweet daddy comment is just too much!! I am catching up on your blog and I love all the pictures from Venice, HP camp totally rocks, the precious fishing pics and of course I adore any pic with a Smith:-). I am so thankful that you ate home and I know that you are counting down the days until Nick returns home too. Have a fun girls weekend and soak up all the love.

My word, Nick, you are going to send me over the edge! Don't do this to an already emotional chick! The fishing (and the fish caught), the slides (how fun in your parents' backyard), the absolute identical likeness of you and Caryn's boys, all of it. But isn't it so true that you love it so much more b/c you no longer take it for granted?

It looks like you guys are really living it up back in the states! Where in the heck did your parents buy that awesome water slide? I think E needs one!

Your boys are so precious Wendy. When will Nick be in dallas and how long have you two been apart? I had no idea! At least you are getting to eat some comfort food and enjoy the "cool" weather! Great pics of your family.
