Birthday on a Dhow Boat

The last week has been a significant holiday for Islamic religion and we've enjoyed every second of being out of school and Nick's absence from work.  We started off the Eid holiday celebrating a friend's birthday.  She turned 40 and invited 6 other families to join them on a Dhow boat cruise for the afternoon.  This was the best idea. Our kids had a blast and the weather was perfect!!  We left at 2pm and returned at 8pm.

Pizza was just the beginning of the most amazing food!
Hot dog! Jumping off the top deck.
Georgia and I hung back from the island. The boat anchored and everyone swam over.

The birthday girl caught a ride...

Mr. Frank and Georgia.  Frank is Nick's boss but more importantly they're great friends and neighbors.  He has 4 girls and gets a hold of Georgia as often as possible.
Checking out the view as we headed back to the port.
Thanks Yvonne and Casey for such a fun afternoon.  Happiest Birthday!!  This was such a treat and a great way to kick off our Eid break.
